WE-cycle's pilot e-bikes are a Class 1 pedal-assist bike, meaning that a small electric motor helps propel you forward and makes pedaling even easier. Pedal-assist bikes do not have a throttle and eliminate much of the burden of biking uphill1

WE-cycle is offering the community an opportunity to give e-bikeshare a spin with 6 WE-cycle e-bikes available to anyone with an active WE-cycle pass.

The pilot program is in partnership with, and funded by, City of Aspen and Town of Basalt and is being held to determine if there is community interest in e-bikeshare transit services and thereby merit and demand to explore the viability of a future e-bikeshare expansion.

The goal of community-supported e-bikeshare is to provide safe, reliable and low-carbon transportation in the Roaring Fork Valley. The pilot is aligned with WE-cycle’s organizational values to reduce local C02 emissions, congestion, and vehicle miles travelled.

WE-cycle e-bikes are designed for short, transportation-oriented rides.Local bike shopsoffer a variety of e-bikes for longer, leisure-oriented rentals or purchase.

WE-cycle’s FREE ride time is less for its e-bikes as WE anticipate that with the pedal-assist boost you will arrive at your destination faster and with ample time to travel between the farthest stations in each Aspen and Basalt | Willits | El Jebel.
